Bridges & Dentures
The good thing about tooth loss is that it isn’t always inevitable. With consistently high-quality dental care and diligent preventive maintenance at home, you have a good chance of preserving all of your healthy, natural teeth. However, if you do experience tooth loss, then we can help you regain your full, healthy, and attractive smile with a custom-designed dental bridge or denture, depending on the extent of your tooth loss.
What Is a Dental Bridge?
A dental bridge is typically a fixed prosthesis that is bonded permanently in place. It includes a lifelike replacement tooth called a pontic, or multiple pontics if you’ve lost multiple adjacent teeth. To keep the bridge in place, the prosthesis is bordered by one or more dental crowns that are bonded to the healthy teeth closest to the empty space in your smile. In some cases, a single dental crown or bridge with multiple pontics may be supported by one or more dental implants, which mimic the roots of your lost teeth.
What Are Partial and Full Dentures?
If you experience more extensive tooth loss, then a denture may be a more effective solution than a dental bridge for rebuilding your smile. If you’ve lost several teeth on your dental ridge but still retain several healthy ones, then we can design a partial denture to fit around them and replace only the teeth that you’ve lost. To replace all of your teeth on the upper or lower dental ridge, a complete denture can provide an entire row of durable, highly lifelike replacements. If your partial or denture requires repair, we also offer same-day repairs so you never have to go without your teeth.
